Step by step
- Smooth your ponytail. Brush hair back into a sleek ponytail at the height you want your bun, and secure it with a hair tie.
- Thread it through. Pull the ponytail through your SATININARMS bun maker and slide it down to the base.
- Wrap the silk. Spread your hair evenly around the bun maker until the silk is covered.
- Lock it in. Secure with a second hair tie or a few pins, and tuck any loose ends underneath.
- Finish clean. Smooth flyaways and edges with a little gel or an edge brush for an in-regs finish.

XS ear length · S shoulder length · L mid-back length · XL waist length. XL makes a fuller bun that may exceed some regulation size limits, so check your service's standard before wearing it in uniform.
